Thanks again,
Jay
Tnx. Can this lens work with portrait photos this good???
@Jay SonyAlphaLab tnx again. So the lens is flat? And there will be no perspective distortion (like go pro wide mode). So did he have some %of perspective distortion?😅
Yes absolutely, but your subject needs to be fairly still to get consistent sharp shots. WIth moving kids for example, it can be pretty hard to get tack sharp accurate focus when the depth of field is super narrow at f/1.4 for example.
Many thanks for all your videos, you seem to be on the same wavelength as me, clear instructions keeping it simple, an old man coming over from 20 years of Canon, have sony a7iii, and a6400, and a couple of sony lenses, would like 18-135mm
Thanks Bob and the 18-135mm is a great lens option for the money! See my full review of that lens here:
EXCELLENT PLEASE do more, can you do one on my menu (my son keeps using my a6400 for his video shoots and messing up my settings) thanks
I sure can Junior, but in the meantime did you check out my full review? I go over that in that video enough to show you how it works.
Nice uncle jay
Thanks Ally 🙂
Frankly, anyone manually focusing with an A6400 is doing it wrong. Get AF capable lenses with that monster-AF camera.
lol, thanks for the comments!! Sometimes amazing autofocus is not needed, but the high quality manual focus lenses with f/1.4 speed is highly desirable 😉 Remember, a ~50mm f/1.4 AF capable lens is a lot more money that what you can get in manual focus don’t forget. Not everyone is buying the A6400 for the amazing AF abilities alone. It’s just one awesome feature the camera has amongst many from my perspective.
